The circumnavigation of the Santorini island group by boat, especially around the caldera's cliffs, is essential for forming a complete picture of its volcanic structures. Here, we suggest starting from the Vlychada marina and disembarking at the Fira bay. A visit to the Christianá is also useful and enjoyable for viewing remnants of the large older volcano in the area.
