Starting from the town of Chios and its exceptional museums, hosting unique exhibits and narrating the island's rich geological and cultural history, we are led to one of Chios' most beautiful natural landscapes, Mount Korakari, known for its internationally valuable fossils. Through a beautiful route, we reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Holy Monastery of Agia Moni. Getting a first taste of the island, its natural heritage, and its great value for geosciences and humanity, we end up in the settlement of Karyes, a picturesque village of Chios that belongs to the wider archaeological area of the city and offers abundant cool water from natural springs, shade under plane trees, and delicious food in its taverns.
